Co-managed IT

Many Scottsdale firms have one IT person, or an office manager who handles the tech. Co-managed IT lets them keep the vendor relationships and the decisions while AIM takes the tickets they can't get to, the Microsoft 365 and security administration, and 24/7 monitoring. We write down who owns what, so nobody on either side has to guess.

Scottsdale's business base leans toward client-facing work: financial advisors, law firms, real estate and professional services, plus manufacturers around the Scottsdale Airpark. These businesses depend on email, client portals, and line-of-business software staying up. They also need client information kept private. AIM has supported businesses like these since 1993, with 97% client retention and hundreds of clients across the Valley.

What Scottsdale Businesses Look for in a Managed IT Provider

IT that stays out of the way of client work

Quick Help Before Client Meetings

When an advisor can't open a client file before a meeting, the clock matters. We work the problem remotely first, and on-site visits are available when an issue can't be solved remotely.

Technicians Who Know Your Practice

The same technicians learn your practice management software, your client portal, and the way your office runs, so you aren't re-explaining your setup on every call.

Clear Monthly Pricing

Standard support is a predictable monthly rate based on users, devices, and locations. Projects outside that scope are quoted and approved before anything is billed.

Monitoring After Office Hours

Client work doesn't stop at 5 p.m., and neither does our 24/7 monitoring. It watches your systems overnight and on weekends and flags problems as they come up.

Protection from Wire-Transfer Scams

We identify and neutralize 99% of potential threats before they reach your business, with extra attention on the email and wire-transfer scams aimed at financial and legal offices.

Planning for New Advisors and Offices

Plan for new advisors, a second office, or a software change, including custom software when off-the-shelf tools stop fitting how your firm works.

Scottsdale IT Support for Businesses That Can't Afford Downtime

Scottsdale's business base includes financial-services firms, law offices, real estate and professional-services companies, hospitality groups, and manufacturers near the Airpark. For all of them, reliable technology affects client confidence and revenue, so our managed IT services in Scottsdale start with the systems clients see: email, file sharing, and remote access.

Security is where we start with most Scottsdale clients: who can sign in, from where, and what happens when a phishing email gets through. We also help healthcare practices and other organizations that handle patient information keep the IT side of HIPAA in order, working alongside whoever owns their compliance program.

Our IT support in Scottsdale, AZ is delivered remotely first, with on-site visits when an issue needs hands-on work. We also provide IT support in Phoenix, Tempe IT services, IT support in Mesa, and IT support in Deer Valley.

What Our Work Looks Like for Scottsdale Firms

Two recent jobs at one Scottsdale branch, and how we take over from a previous IT provider. We keep client names private.

Case study: a phishing email at a Scottsdale showroom

A designer at a Scottsdale showroom opened what looked like an HR letter and reported it to us right away. The link led to a compromised website, so we treated the account as compromised. We blocked the sign-in, ended every active session, reset the password with her, set up multi-factor authentication again, and blocked that sender across the company's email so the same message couldn't reach anyone else. It was wrapped up that afternoon.

Two months earlier, the same branch asked us to look at slow internet. We tested every computer, and they were getting the speed their plan pays for. The slowdowns were brief blips on the internet provider's side, so we told them that and recommended leaving it alone.

Moving Your Firm from Another Provider

Most Scottsdale firms come to us from another provider or an internal IT person. The handoff is where things get lost, so we treat it carefully.

  1. Our side, ready early. Ticketing, documentation, monitoring, and security are set up for your firm before the first visit.
  2. Backups you can count on. Hourly backups are configured, and the first full backup has to finish and check out before we call it done.
  3. Trust, then verify. We take in the documentation and passwords handed over, test each one ourselves, and record anything no one could answer.
  4. On-site cutover. We remove the outgoing provider's remote access and security software and put ours on each computer, then reconcile the device count.
  5. Clean handoff. The old provider's access is closed out, your staff learn how to reach our help desk, and we review Microsoft 365 and email protections against wire-transfer and phishing scams.

What we'll need from you: Your Microsoft 365 Global Admin approves our partner access. If the only admin account belongs to your old provider, tell us early and we'll work through it with you.
